Linking your Kotak Mahindra Bank Account with Aadhaar: How To Do It Online or Offline

Aadhaar card is widely accepted as an identification proof and is mandatory to receive benefits and subsidies from government, the bank account that you want to receive benefits in, should be linked to your Aadhaar.

Linking your bank account with Aadhaar is easy and can be done online or offline.

If you have a savings account with Kotak Mahindra Bank, Kotak 811 Account or any other, you can seed your bank account with your Aadhaar* easily by following the steps shown here. You can do it through the Kotak – 811 & Mobile Banking App, Kotak.com website, net banking, SMS or by visiting your nearest bank branch. The service is free for everyone.

1. Through Kotak Bank Mobile Banking App:
   Linking your bank account with Aadhaar is very simple through your Kotak – 811 & Mobile Banking App.
   • Login to your Kotak - 811 & Mobile Banking App
   • Go to 'Service Requests'
   • Go to 'Profile' section
   • Click on 'Aadhaar Number Update'
   • Select/Edit/Enter your Aadhaar Number
   • Select any of the following option on the page
     -First time seeding
     -I already have any account with XXX Bank seeded with Aadhaar, interested in changing: Yes
   • Share Name of Bank & Account details
   • Choose an option and proceed
   • Submit Aadhaar OTP
   • Tap on Confirm

You will get a confirmation about the update through SMS

2. By visiting Kotak Bank website

   You can link your bank accounts with Aadhaar online by visiting Kotak.com. Here are the steps to link your Kotak Mahindra Bank with Aadhaar online:

   • Click here to get started.
   • Authenticate yourself by using your registered mobile number, date of birth or CRN and click on 'Send OTP'
   • Add the OTP that you have received on your mobile
   • Enter your account number
   • Add your 12-digit Aadhaar number
   • Click on ‘Submit’ button

Your Aadhaar will be linked to your bank account and you will receive a confirmation message.
 

3. Through Net Banking

   If you have registered for net banking, you can link your bank account with Aadhaar through it.

   Here are the steps:

   • Login to your Kotak Mahindra Bank Net Banking portal
   • Select ‘Banking’ and then click on ‘Profile/Update Contact Details’
   • Click on ‘Update your Aadhaar’ option
   • Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number in the space provided
   • Click on ‘Submit’

Your Aadhaar will be linked with your Kotak Bank savings account.
 

4. Visiting your nearest Kotak Mahindra Bank Branch

   You can also visit your nearest Kotak Mahindra Bank Branch to link your Aadhaar with your bank account.

   Here are the steps:

   • Fill out the Aadhaar Seeding form that is available in the branch
   • Submit the form to the Kotak Mahindra Bank executive and attach a self-attested copy of your Aadhaar card
   • Provide your original Aadhaar Card for verification
   • The bank executive will hand over a receipt to you along with your original Aadhaar card
