What are a few things that I need to keep in mind before Kotak 811 zero balance account?

You will need your PAN, Aadhaar number and Aadhaar-registered mobile number handy to open the zero balance savings account.

Accounts that are not opened through the video KYC process are e-KYC accounts. You have to complete the full KYC of your account within 12 months from the account opening date. The bank will have to close the account if the full KYC isn’t completed within a year.

Before the full KYC process, you can keep a maximum balance of Rs. 1 lakh in your account, and total credits cannot exceed Rs. 2 lakh in a financial year.    

Since it is a digital account, there is no physical welcome kit.

The bank does not provide a physical debit card by default. If you’d still like one, you will have to apply for a physical debit card through the mobile banking app.
