A recurring deposit is one of the low-risk investment options available for individuals. This recurring deposit account is primarily used for corpus creation over a specific period of time. It allows depositors to choose the investment amount and the time period as per their financial goals. Individuals with a fixed monthly income can contribute a small amount every month to the RD account for a specific tenure.
Open a recurring deposit account at Kotak Mahindra Bank and enjoy assured returns at promised interest rates.
Individuals open a recurring deposit account primarily for wealth generation or to get into the habit of saving. They need to pay a certain amount every month for an agreed-upon period. On a specific date in future, the amount matures for depositors to withdraw and gain the interest yields. The minimum amount to deposit monthly in an RD account is Rs. 100.
While opening an RD account, a certain maturity value is fixed, assuming that the account holders will not miss any monthly payments. However, in case of non-payment of the monthly amount, the interest due for that particular month will be reduced.
Therefore, to streamline the monthly payment towards a recurring deposit, account holders allow banks to deduct the amount from their savings or current account and credit it to RD.
